Austral Chemicals inaugurated in Santiago de Chile a new plant dedicated to the production of disinfectants. Equipped with 2 reactors, the plant has a daily capacity of 20,000 kg and has been certified by the Seremi (Ministry of Health) in October 2019. Austral’s production people who is highly qualified to produce chemicals, followed a course to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and maintain high production standards.
“This new plant underlines our commitment supporting the growing demand of our customers in disinfectants and complying the norms set up by the authorities” said Christophe Jacob, Director of Austral Chemicals. “We further strengthen our production capabilities in delivering consistent and reliable supply to our customers in Chile, reinforcing our position as challenger to the hygiene industry”.
Austral Chemicals provides also taylor-made manufacturing capabilities based on customer-specific requirements including formulation and blending / mixing, material processing, SOP development and laboratory support. We also provide services to clients who have their own raw materials and processes.
Austral Chemicals has the capability to take a product from lab scale to large scale production and offers full-service packaging and palletizing (5 to 200 kg drums, IBC totes, bulk containers, bulk bags and custom packaging). The company provides warehousing and shipping to anywhere in Chile (own truck fleet) or to foreign countries.
Austral Chemicals is accredited ISO 9001:2015 and maintains strict safety and environmental compliance (air, water treatment, waste).
Austral Chemicals can produce all types all formulas based on e.g. quaternary ammonium, chlorine bleach, glutaraldehyde, peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxyde, sodium hypochlorite, bactericides or solvents. Disinfectants are key formulas of Austral’s portfolio together with detergents, degreasing agents, desincrusting agents and deodorizers.
